International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation will allocate $100 million to Uzbekistan

A $100 million Murabaha financing and an agency agreement were concluded between the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation to deepen economic cooperation.

The agreement aims to strengthen food security in the country through the State Support Fund for Agriculture under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The funds will be allocated for 24 months in two tranches under convenient conditions. This will meet the needs of the population of Uzbekistan and maintain the stability of the country’s agricultural sector.

The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation is the leading institution of the Islamic Development Bank. Its mission is to promote trade and economic development.
